Spring!!

I was so excited to wake up to sunshine beaming into my bedroom this morning. It feels like it has been so long since there was such a beautiful day. What is it about the sun that immediately makes the world seem like a better place to be? I actually had the energy to get up and make some yummy french toast for breakfast which never happens on a Saturday morning in my house.
Nathan decided he wanted to work out in the yard, but needed a couple of things, so off to Home Depot we went. Apparently everyone else felt the same. Home Depot was buzzing with people all flocking to the garden department for flowers and bulbs.
We've been waiting for a nice day to figure out what it is we want to do with the sand pit of a back yard we have currently. We bought loads of garden soil, a couple of climbing vines, some lavender, rosemary (couldn't resist, I love the smell!!), and a hydrangea bush. I spent most of the afternoon with my hands in dirt, but it was invigorating!
Still have a long ways to go to get our backyard looking the way we want, but today was a good start.
