30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 30
This is the last post of this 30 days of thankfulness, and yes, it is a day late. This has definitely been the hardest year to accomplish this so far, but it is an excellent exercise for me.
In this idea of being thankful, I of course, am thankful to God for most all these things. But I thought for this last thankfulness post I'd take it to a more personal level than perhaps my being thankful for my family, my home, my daily cup of coffee...
God has been taking me back to basics over the last year or so. The basics of who He says I am...the basics of what He has done for me...the basics of what those things mean for my life from this point on. I've chosen to find my identity in Christ and Him alone. He knows who I am in the deepest part of me, my struggles, my hopes, my desires, my secrets. He has greater plans for me than I could even begin to imagine. He has already equipped me with everything I need in life, and to live the life He designed for me through His Holy Spirit dwelling in me. The more I've allowed Him to imprint His design on my life instead of looking for a superficial replacement in things around me, the more I've seen Him at work in my every day life. I have a confidence in my identity that I've never had before that comes from a secure place of knowing how much I am loved and how valuable I am to my Savior.
I'm thankful to God for all His many blessings, but most of all, that He continues to pour Himself into my life, reminding me of all I can find in Him, and that it is a never ending supply.
