I wake up and am these things.

I take my first sip of coffee in the quiet of my room and in walks Steven. The day has begun. I sing him a song out of my devotional and we pray together...Discipler. I see Bradley come in with a scrunched up nose cause "this side of my nose can't smell" and Kleenex is found...Nurse. William wakes and all the boys take a bath. William dives out of the tub and crash lands on his head...Comforter. I nurse him in order to keep an ice pack on his head long enough to do some good...Nourisher (or, ahem, Cow).

Downstairs for breakfast...Chef. Upstairs for William's nap...Soother. Quick pick up of all the places we've been in the house so far...Maid. Back downstairs for school with the boys...Teacher. Into the kitchen for a snowflake painting project...Artist. Disobedience and back talk from a small person...Disciplinarian (the least fun).

Lunch...another round of naps...I get busy with to-do's...Organizer...Tax prepper...Office Manager...responding to emails and planning for Sunday school and bible study....Volunteer...Coordinator.

Tears from upstairs over a Lego toy in need of repair...Fixer. All is well and I am invited to join the fun...Buddy.

Back downstairs for dinner...more clean up...more discipline...back upstairs for pajamas...lullabies...bed...

My turn to have quiet so I grab the computer, a cup of tea and begin the budget...Bookkeeper...Financial planner...

Now...quiet again...in bed...time to dream??

I reflect on all the roles I have played today. None of them make me who I truly am though. I remember who I am... Child of God, Beloved, Chosen, Rescued, Loved with an everlasting love...

Did my life reflect those things today?

Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
