Halloween!
This weekend we had a wonderful time with our dear friends Jacob & Amy. They drove down from Seattle on Friday night and just left this afternoon. On Friday night we gorged ourselves on brownies while watching a movie. Saturday morning we all slept in and then the boys went to Cabella's and the girls got busy baking - from scratch caramel rolls and pumpkin pies - as well as carving some pumpkins for the trick-or-treaters that evening.
We have entirely too much candy left today. For some reason, we all felt the need to buy enough candy for the whole city of Lacey...we probably had only 10 groups actually come by our house. Oh well...we will all be in sugar comas for the next few weeks!

Jacob brought down an inflatable cowboy costume, a pirate wig for Nathan, and I wore the classic "nose" disguise.

ReplyDeleteOh, you are looking so so cute! And your pumpkin pies look delicious. We have way too much candy left, too... I'm thinking I might bring it to work and put it in the staff lounge. That's usually a sure-fire way to get rid of food!
ReplyDeleteHey there! I am so jealous that you guys are taking the Bradley classes! We would totally do it but it is a big time commitment with Keanan. I just went to Safeway for my seasonal shot, it was the preservative free one, I asked. I think it cost me like $30. The H1N1 shot was from my reg. doctors office. We were there for Keanan's regular flu shot and I happened to ask about the H1N1 for me and they had some. Pioneer Family Practice in Lacey. Hope that helps!
