Changing so fast!
Two months! We just hit that milestone a little over a week ago. It seems like as soon as that happened Steven decided it was time to grow a little bit more and put himself on a routine (of sorts). He spent his first night by himself in his nursery in his crib on his 2 month birthday. It was the best night of sleep the whole house had seen since he was born. Since then we've been slowly increasing the amount of sleep each night which Mommy and Daddy are finding to be just wonderful! Are most recent was 6 hours without waking! Woohoo!
Steven has also decided that he likes to take real naps. Not just sleep wherever, whenever, little catnaps anymore. He wants to be laid down in his bed to sleep. Once that happens he will usually sleep for a good 2 hours. I feel like I'm getting my independence back!
Because of this newly rediscovered independence, I actually cooked something almost every night last week! The first multi-step meal I made for Nathan and I was Chicken Parmesan last Monday. Delicious! That afternoon I took Steven in for his 2 month shots. He seemed to handle it really well and slept through my grocery shopping trip afterward. It wasn't until we were back home and he woke up from his nap in the middle of my making the above mentioned fabulous dinner that the shots took their effect. We had a very sad, fussy boy that evening. As soon as Nathan came home he was sent back out for some baby tylenol while I tried to soothe the sore little boy. Finally he calmed down, we ate dinner, and then I gave him a nice warm bath. The evening was saved.
We are seeing more and more of Steven's personality coming out every day. He smiles and coos and laughs at our tickling him. He greets us with huge smiles every morning, especially after he lets one rip...ha ha! He is still in the 95th percentile for both weight and height at over 13 lbs and almost 24 inches. I'm seeing this everyday in discovering outfits that don't fit anymore. One of my favorite things that he does lately is the sweet rubbing of his eyes when he is tired. It is sooo adorable. Part of me can't wait to see what he does next and part of me wants to freeze him in time and keep him in this stage of cuteness forever.
That's about all I have time to write of at the moment. I do want to mention that I am super excited about our upcoming switch to cloth diapers! It took awhile to convince Nathan, but here we go!
What a sweet boy you have! I love the image of him rubbing his eyes when he's sleepy! So precious!
