My 25th Birthday
I am officially a quarter of a century...lovely.
My birthday weekend started with a party my mom through for me with some friends at her house in Seattle on Friday. Great cake and fun was had by all...the next day I ate said cake for breakfast...it was my birthday weekend, therefore I could.
Sunday was my official birthday. Nathan was helping with worship at church that morning, so I was by myself getting me and the boy ready to get out the door. It went surprisingly well, maybe better than when daddy is home...wonder why this is?? Service was wonderful - I feel so special to have gotten to worship with so many friends on my birthday - God is great!
While in the nursing mom's room Steven gave me a great present - he rolled over from his back to his belly - finally!! We've been working with him on this for so long. Since Sunday he has been rolling all over the house. Time to baby proof!
Nathan spent most of the afternoon prepping for a class he taught this week, so Steven and I napped, went to the park, and played all afternoon. When Nathan called it quits for the day, we went out to Thai food (my fave!) for dinner and then went home and called it a night. Steven had quite the giggle fit on our way out of the restaurant (I think he was tired and getting loopy). All we had to do was look at him and laugh and he would start laughing hysterically.
On Monday morning, I went to my friend Laine's and the kiddos played while the mom's chatted and drank coffee - I love these times! Then, Monday night, the lovely ladies in our MC Group surprised me with a delicious cake, a coffee gift card, and a gift certificate to spoil my toes!!! Hurray! Now I'm planning my escape to leave baby with Nathan for an afternoon of mommy downtime.
Tuesday afternoon I spent with my mom & mom-in-law eating delicious Trophy Cupcakes, and completing a pair of slippers I'd been working on. Wednesday morning I went to the Seattle outlets with Taryn and shopped to my heart's content. Steven and I are going to be looking like quite the mommy & baby team this fall. :)
Now it is back to the daily grind - grocery shopping. But I have planned a meet up with Aubrey so my day won't be too sour - to the market we will go for produce! I am spoiled...
