The last week and a half has been full of first time fun for Steven. I'll recap briefly with events and pictures. We've been so busy and been having so much fun. I can't believe our little boy is almost 8 months old. Time is just flying way to fast for his mommy's (and daddy's) liking.

| Elliot and Steven - 7 months old |
First off - Steven's current stats:
 |
| Sleeping in is new car seat |
He weighs 20 lbs at 7 months. I haven't measured him to see how tall - oops! We have officially transferred him to his "big boy" car seat since he was getting to darned heavy to carry back and forth in the infant carrier. I washed and put together the infant carrier to be packed up until the next go round and can't believe he was ever small enough to fit that first setting. Sniff, sniff...my baby isn't such a baby :(.
 |
| Sitting so big with his toys all around |
He is now sitting up
wonderfully (if only it had been in time to prevent the
ER trip...oh well). I have a feeling that he won't be crawling anytime soon as he is quite content reaching for toys around him and pulling them into his lap. He also seems to lose interest in the things he wants but can't reach so has no incentive to try crawling...or even scooting. He does make up for the not scooting with plenty of rolling everywhere though.
 |
| After Sweet Potatoes |
He has 3, almost 4, teeth!!! So far they are all on the bottom. This has made nights very long and sleep very little in the Johnson home.
He used to enjoy pears and sweet potatoes, and detested peas and applesauce. Now he refuses all baby food, but did enjoy some of mom's macaroni today at lunch. ;0
Things he loves - Bath time, being read to, chewing on
everything, spitting any and all baby food back at mom, but loves eating the bib...making calls to China on the home phone...or my cell phone. He loves big kids - he giggles and laughs every time he sees one - I think they are pretty funny too. He loves animals, especially my parents goldie, Chancey.
Now for those firsts:
First Mariner's Game!!!
Our family spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Steven's first M's game against the MN Twins. We won! Steven stayed pretty happy the entire game even though he missed his afternoon nap.

His First Letter to Mommy:
I went out for a "mommy" morning and got a pedicure while Steven stayed home with Daddy. This is what I came home to:
 |
| Hydrangeas from our yard |
 |
| Ready for college applications?? |
First Husky Football Party:
I didn't get any pictures of him during the action. I'll just say we need to work on getting him used to the noise level for football season. He burst into tears every time the group would cheer or shout.

First Salmon Run:
On Sunday we spent some family time in Downtown Olympia by the water watching the Salmon swim and jump. We got some great pictures, but Steven was pretty sleepy through it all. Here he is in the glasses that help you see the fist better through the water.
 |
| Stylin' eye wear - you can tell he is enthused |
First Parade for Dino:
On Labor Day we ventured to Black Diamond, WA to walk in the parade for
Dino Rossi- I think this is his littlest fan! And quite a happy one at that!
 |
| Go Dino!!! |
So that ends this week of firsts. I'm enjoying my little boy so much! Even though I always tired, rarely put together, and I mainly survive by drinking coffee and cat napping with him (when he decides it is a napping day), I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything else in the world!
Love it! Thank you for sharing all the pictures! He is sooo freaking cute!
