The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

Well, I didn't reallly get stockings up yet...as I have none! That is on my list of must do's by next Christmas. I did spend all of yesterday evening hanging lights in the windows and decorating our beautiful 8 1/2 ft noble fir though. I love the fragrance in my living room now! NOT a big fan of the couple of spiders that have decided to make their home in my star tree topper however. I think Nathan will be watering our tree until those spiders are ahem...taken care of...(ie...put to death).

Nathan completed  our Christmas decorations (except for our front door wreath, which I still need to get!) by hanging all the outside lights (in the dark, on a ladder, by himself). I love my man! Our house looks amazing. This is the first year we have really made an effort to do lights outside. We did once at our old house, but just around the porch. Even our shrub by the garage got some twinkly lights this year!

This afternoon I went to JoAnn Fabrics to get a dent in the materials needed for some of my Christmas gifts. What do you know they were swamped with people and were out of half of what I needed. Might have to venture back later this week. It was still nice to do it sans baby though, as he was home playing with Daddy. I'm working towards more of a homemade Christmas this year, we will see what the recipients think! Hopefully they will be pleased. Time is ticking and the list hasn't shrunk much yet...I'd better get a move on!
