Progress!

Last night Steven and I achieved something great. He went the entire night without nursing...cold turkey, after the night before he'd nursed 3 times in the middle of the night. It took some determination on my part, definitely, but it wasn't nearly as traumatic as I was thinking it was going to be (and thus the reason I'd put it off so long??). I didn't get much more sleep...he still woke up all those times, plus once more, and I almost gave in once, but I don't think I lost any more sleep than I would have nursing him, so that's a bonus for me. Hopefully a few more nights of this and he won't wake up so much.

I am just so tired of nursing. I truly enjoyed that time with him for most of our time nursing, but now that I'm pregnant, and my body is trying to produce enough for the new baby, him and me (who is starving all the time), I just can't do it anymore.

So, while that may not be huge to some, to me, last night was a big accomplishment. Hoping to have him completely weaned soon!!
