1/2 a year...

I was really hoping to get this post before today became tomorrow, but alas...it is 12:16a on Thursday morning. We celebrated Steven turning 6 months old yesterday and was it ever a blast!

It started with visiting some friends & their toddlers in Kirkland - they gave me some awesome baby gear that I'm sure Steven is going to love! Off to Grandma Lori's where we had fun with Uncle AJ and Grandma and Chancey, their golden retriever. Then off for cupcakes with Auntie Taryn - Steven had his first taste of vanilla frosting at Trophy Cupcakes! After a nap back at Grandma's we went to another Grandma's to swim in the pool and have a BBQ with friends. All in all a very fun and tiring day. Only sad part for me was not getting to do Steven's first baby food feeding...oh well - I guess the first frosting makes up for it! (And of course I'm the mom who said no sweets before the first year - I just couldn't resist!)

I really can't believe that 6 months ago we were spending our first night in the hospital with our new baby boy. Six months ago he was so tiny and small - always cuddly, snugly - so fragile. Now he is roley poly and sturdy and wanting to see the world! Thankfully I still get the occasional snuggle in...

I feel like we have been through so many milestones with him in the last 6 months - the first smile, the first giggle and laugh, rolling over, first teeth (most recent popped up on Tuesday - that makes two!!), reaching for everything, sitting, and so much more. Each day brings something new! I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
