30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 18
My heart is full tonight:
Wonder each time I look into my son's face, that he is here, that he is the perfect combination of Nathan and I, yet, with God's grace will be so much better than either of us. Feeling him snuggle into my arms as he drifts to sleep. Watching the new things he can do everyday. Hearing "mama" for the first time this week ♥♥♥...
Joy while reading to my dear friend's 4 year old son this afternoon and watching a light bulb go on in his head as we discover the meaning of all those big words and concepts and how they relate to him - oh, and the joy of being called "super girl" as he left my house ♥...
Love for my best friend, partner in parenting, the shoulder I drift to sleep on every night, the calm to my crazy, Nathan. I don't thank this man enough...
Amazement as I gaze at the beauty that surrounds me - the color in the trees, the fierceness of winter storms, the crispness in the air...
Gratefulness that even when I feel my smallest, God still has the biggest plans for me. That even when I don't feel qualified, when I feel weak, He qualifies and strengthens me - often when I don't even realize it happening...
Praise for the God who made me, gave me this breath...the God who loves me, and knows my name, and knows my every hope, dream, desire, and longing...how can I keep from singing??
Life. How many of us take each breath we breathe for granted? Each sight or scent we encounter, the sensation of touch, the sound of the world around us each day? I should be standing in awe that I can experience these things! Tonight I am in awe. And I am thankful.
