30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 27
Thanksgiving Day 2014 is drawing to a close. For this Johnson family,
this was a very restful day and we soaked up just relaxing and
visiting with all our dear immediate family. It doesn't happen as
often as it used to so I cherish when it does.
The last few years have marked lots of growth for both sides if our
family. Out family was spitting out babies, I had one brother get
married and Nathan has 2 brothers get married and one of them had
their first baby this year. This growth has brought so much joy for so
many reasons, but for me personally, the last few years have meant I
have gained something I grew up without - sisters.
We still have much to learn about each other, and we have lots we can learn from each other, but we have a lifetime ahead to learn in. I am blessed that our brothers married strong women of faith, who encourage me with their trust in God and desire to love and please Him and bring glory to Him in all they do. I am loving the little bit of mommy wisdom I've been able to impart (being the old married mommy that I am) and look forward to more and more nephews (and maybe nieces?? No hopes up here!) to love and spoil.
So, I am thankful for my family and especially my sisters this Thanksgiving day.
