30 Days of Thankfulness ~ B is for Bed
I have never wanted to sleep in my own bed so much as I have tonight. After two nights in a hospital bed and my baby in the crib fighting a nasty infection, I am happy to be home and thankful for this cozy bed that fits me just so.
Elizabeth ended up having a urinary tract infection which is not too uncommon in babies, but always serious. There was not an explained reason for it, just a fluke thing. After two nights of broad spectrum antibiotics and some iv fluids, they discharged us today right after breakfast and the boys and Nathan came to pick us up at the hospital. Once we were home I rested and enjoyed (well sort of the noises a house full of kids brings to my life.
Now, as I am "gaining" an hour of sleep with daylight savings time I am counting this as being posted at 11:39 pm on November 3rd instead. Now to close my eyes and sink into my soft bed and get some sleep while I can.
