30 Days of Thankfulness ~ J is for Joy

It is Sunday evening and as I sit in my bed, nursing my baby, I am thinking through everything I need to do this week. And you know what? I am already tired. So often I feel defeated before the day even starts and so bothered with what the needs of the kids will be that I get frustrated that they are distracting me with wanting to snuggle.

On good days I recognize right away that I am trying to  do this life of mine on my own. On bad days I spiral out of control and end up a mess of tears and apologizing over and over for not being able to deal.
As I go into another Monday and you do as well, I will leave you both with this encouragement -

Then he said to them, "Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Now isn't that a reason to be thankful!
