30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 1

Has it really been so long since I sat down and wrote an entry? Oh, dear. I have LOTS to update on. That is not going to happen on this post however. I need to start small and work my way back into this blogging thing I've been so absent from. Which leads me to the point of this post...

Last year I did my very first "30 Days of Thankfulness" in November. It was a challenge. There were days I was laying in bed punching a list of things into my phone i was thankful for and sending it off at 11:58pm so I could still count it towards whichever day I was on. More than the challenge to get back into blogging though, it was meant to be a daily reminder of everything I have to be thankful for.

My life has changed so much since last November. We've added to our family, growing from a family of three to a family of four with the arrival of Bradley. I gained a sister when my brother Kenny married his love, Alyssa, in June. I was a working mom (albeit from home) in the beginning of the year and now once again I am just "mommy" and wife, which pleases me. I've grown in friendships, in hobbies, in loads of laundry that require doing, and in all these things I am blessed.

My hope over the next 30 days is to take the time needed to reflect on my life over the last year, and write down some of the things that I'm thankful for each day. Some days I'll have a lot to say, some days I may have but a few words. No matter. Length is not the goal for me so much as the commitment to doing something every single day. It seems like such a small thing, to write down something one is thankful for...but is it?

Won't you join me?
