What a glorious autumn day in Seattle today! As Nathan and I drove into Seattle to meet some dear friends, the Coghlans for brunch in Seattle this morning, I kept commenting on the beautiful trees, the warm sun, the glistening Puget Sound - it was truly breathtaking.
John and Bri had prepared a delicious breakfast for us and we so enjoyed hearing about their summer adventures as we ate. God is doing wonderful things in this couple (not the least of which is the little peanut who'll be arriving in April - can't wait!). It was so exciting to listen to them descrIbe the different paths the Lord is directing them down in their ministry.
We had such a wonderful conversation we didn't want it to end. Little did we know John had a whole day planned for enjoying the fantastic weather. Good thing Steven was with Grandma! We took the whole day to enjoy all the fall sunshine. We ended up going to two different trails (Carkeek Park and the Arboredum)and admired God's beautiful handiwork. The day with the Coghlans ended with them introducing us to delicious Puerto Rican food for dinner. Yes, it was a truly wonderful day.
