30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 23

We made the drive to spend Thanksgiving with Nathan's parents this afternoon. After leaving a good hour later than we'd planned, we were anticipating horrible holiday traffic. Thankfully, it was not bad at all - at least the direction we were headed. I felt a little bad for all the people stuck on the freeway heading south.

Steven has been really excited about going to Grandpa & Grandma's house all day. Grandpa Bryan always shares a big bowl of grapes with Steven upon our arrival, and this is really special for Steven. Grandma Anna made a yummy taco hotdish for dinner and had fun feeding it to Steven who thought it was delicious and kept asking for more.

Tonight I am thankful for my kids' grandparents. Both Nathan's parents and mine are turning out to be pretty fantastic at the job. Steven gets really excited about visiting his "Papas". He already associates different things for each one too - for instance, with my dad he associates football, and with Nathan's dad it is grapes. I'm sure there will be more things as time goes on, but for now, this is what he knows. I'm so excited for Bradley to get bigger and begin to experience how much fun his grandparents can be just like Steven has.

I am of course thankful for them as well for the awesome reason that they are fantastic, free babysitters. Thanks a ton to our wonderful parents!
