30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 22
Steven finally slept in a bit! Well, until 6:15 (but that's way better than 5 so I'll take it!). Even with the "extra" sleep, he was a super fussy boy all day long. This meant he did not want to be away from me at all, and if I wasn't holding Bradley I was holding him (quite literally, he wouldn't even eat lunch unless he was sitting in my lap), and even when I was holding Bradley he was trying to get Bradley out of my arms. Yes, there were frustrating moments to all of this. We are about to see family for the weekend so there is a ton of laundry to be washed, folded and packed and I of course can't do much of that with him in my lap. But, it will all get done. Perhaps at the last minute, but it will happen.
Instead of being upset about the time lost for housework in order to cuddle with Steven, I'm going to be thankful today that he wants to cuddle. I know this won't last forever, so I'm going to cherish the time I get cuddling on the couch watching Curious George and eating graham crackers with my cute little brown eyed boy. Laundry will last forever...pretty sure it is written in stone somewhere.
I am also thankful for my friend Katie who out of the kindness of her heart came and sat with my sleeping boys this afternoon so I could get a pre-holiday hair trim. I think I don't look nearly as frazzled as I feel now.
