30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 24
Ah, Thanksgiving Day! The day families gather round to be thankful for all they have been blessed with (and eat, and eat, and eat). We did just that. After filling our stomachs with an amazing turkey dinner prepared by Nathan's mom, we had a cup of coffee and headed to my parents' house for dessert and more coffee. It was a fun, relaxing day with everyone.
On this Thanksgiving Day I'm not just thankful for family, but thankful to have them near. It is such a blessing to be able to take a short drive and be at our parents' homes. It is a blessing to have Nathan's grandmother close by (my grandparents are in Minnesota). I love seeing Steven get to know his aunties and "kuncles". Our families mean the world to us.
I am so incredibly thankful that both our families serve the Lord. What a heritage to be passed to my children! I know that my kids will see shining examples of growing in the love of Christ from every one of our family members.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with your families. What is something you were thankful for this year?
