30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 12

Wednesdays are our BSF days. They tend to be hurried mornings getting
out the door to be able to beat the school bus that stops at our
street. Getting stuck waiting for that bus can add 10 minutes to our
drive time!

Today, while transitioning everyone from upstairs and getting dressed
to downstairs to get our shoes and coats on I slipped. William and I
were on the 2nd or 3rd step from the bottom and my sock must have hit
the carpet just so and up William and I went and came crashing down
full force on my left hip.

Instant tears from Steven who got knocked down in the process, and
then I joined the tears pretty quickly. William was just fine, and
seemed unbothered by what had just occurred. Steven was just fine too.
I had a cup of coffee in my hand and it was now all down the front of
me.

I am so thankful that the cup of coffee was cold, I am thankful that
no bones were broken. That William was safe in all of it. That we were
only on the bottom steps and didn't have the rest of the stairs to
slide down. I am thankful we still made it to BSF and for co-leaders
who got the classroom prepped so all I had to do was show up. I am
thankful that a friend brought pizza for dinner so I didn't have to
think about cooking. And I am thankful that boys cooperated at bedtime
so I could get to bed and rest.

I am so thankful for protection from God and that He does take care of
His children.
