30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 19
This morning at breakfast, I was singing the song,
Behold, behold I stand at the door and knock, knock, knock.
If anyone hears My voice, if anyone hears My voice and
Will open, open, open the door I will come in!
about Jesus knocking on the door of our heart to come in and live there. I told Steven, remember when you asked Jesus to come into your heart right before Easter? He was knocking and you opened the door to your heart and let Him in! Bradley asked me, "Mommy, is Jesus in my heart too?" I said, "He can be if you let him in - would you like to invite Him to live in your heart and make it clean and tell Him to be the King of your heart?" "Yes!", he said. So right at the breakfast table, Bradley and I paused and prayed and thanked Jesus for loving us so much that He died to take our sins away, and Bradley told Jesus that He loved Him and would He please come make His heart clean and be King of His heart and teach him to live "just like you, Jesus?"
His sincerity was adorable. My heart was bursting and still is. He has been talking a lot about Jesus to me lately, that Jesus loves Him "this much" (arms out as wide as they can go) and, "Jesus died to take our sins away, Momma?". All of these conversations made what happened this morning not seem so out of reach, but it still surprised me. He understands so much and his heart is so sweet and tender.
I am so thankful that at such an early age Bradley has confessed Jesus as his Savior. Bradley will never remember a time of being separated from God by sin, but will always know the life of living under the grace of God, rescued from sin by Jesus.
