30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 6
The boys and I spent all day at home today. I purposely planned to not
have any errands to run with them because we needed a day home and
because it was supposed to storm outside. Every mom knows it is a
major motivation killer to have to run errands in a storm. Our day
started early with each one waking up about 30 min after the other
starting at 5:30. With the early waking, breakfast was done by 7:30,
William was down for his nap by 8:15 and the boys and I started school
at nine.
I am so thankful I am able to homeschool them this year. It provides
amazing flexibility (I was prepping dinner while they did their work
sheets) and allows so much of the day to revolve around their
learning. It helps that they love homeschooling too. They were begging
me for more school when I told them we were done today!
I am enjoying seeing the world through their curious and creative
minds. They find such delight in the simplest things.
Today, after creating something with his Legos, Steven said to me,
"Mom, my mation told me to build this and I did." "Your what?", I
asked. "My mi-mation" He said. "Your imagination?" "Yeah! My
imagination builded it!"
So sweet. I'm thankful I get to be part of these moments of their
learning and discovering their world.
