30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 9

I love autumn. I love the falling leaves, the crisp, cool air, the
damp decaying dirt smell (cause that's what the leaves do right?) and
the brilliant colors! Having gorgeous sunshine on a day like today
only adds to the beauty of it all.

After a long day spent between church and a meeting after church, I
got home and made a very simple soup dinner for all my boys. As soon
as dinner was done we got them all ready for bed and all climbed on
the couch in the family room. We had just bought the new Planes: Fire
& Rescue and tonight was our night for a family movie night so we
could watch it.

The boys loved the movie as did we. I anticipate lots of creative play
based on that movie in the coming days. I am just so thankful that
they are at an age to start doing fun things like this and I love
watching the expressions all over their faces when we are watching a
movie together. They really get into it.

I'm hopeful that someday my boys will be as excited to sit and watch
Anne of Green Gables or Pride and Prejudice (the BEST 6hr Colin Firth
version) with me...but something tells me not to dream too big! I may
need to borrow some friends' daughters if I want girly flicks like
that!
