30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 10
Ten years. In July we celebrated TEN years of marriage! How does it
feel like only yesterday that we said "I do"? But wrinkles & grey (or
lost) hair don't lie - we've aged.
We were kids then. So unaware of all life would throw at us, but also
unaware of the richness walking through each of those things would
bring. We've in many ways grown up together, and grown into this life
with each other.
This year, this milestone year for us, brought one of the most
traumatic things we've had to face together. In that process we were
stripped bare, to the core of our being. The things that seemed sure
footing weren't anymore. There have been questions, there has been
hurt, their has been hope, and there has been restoration in so many
areas we didn't even know needed work until this storm came through to
strip things away.
In my weakest moments this year, I was able to draw on my husband's
strength. I saw humility and experienced his heart to serve in a way I
never had before. I fell in love with him all over again. God knew
Nathan would be my perfect match. For that I am forever grateful and
thankful.
I love you, Nathan Mark!
