30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 15
I'll get back on track this week, I promise!!
Steven made the big move up to the K-5th grade Sunday School class in
September. I was really nervous about his transition from a relaxed,
free play morning with a shorter lesson time to a much more
structured, toy less setting. The first few weeks he seemed to be a
little timid about going. Last week I noticed a shift though. He came
back into service after class with a prayer card he had written about
his little friend and told me how he had prayed for him. This week he
told me he didn't want to miss Sunday school and how much he loves his
teachers. Again he came back beaming and talking about praying for
someone in class.
All of this makes me so thankful for his Sunday School teachers. Their
willingness to lead by example and show these kids that they can
boldly approach the throne of their Heavenly Father with even their
child like requests and know that they are going to be heard, it just
makes my heart swell with gratitude that they love these kids so much.
