30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 16
My goodness! Here I am again behind on this...by 3 days. Here comes a string of posts!
For day 16 I am thankful for mommy dates. Meaning, dates with other moms where we can go out without our children to talk about our children and how much we love them while they aren't clamoring about our feet causing chaos...among other things. But seriously, moms, when you go out with other moms without your kids, how long does it take before your conversation about grown up things turn back to what your toddler said or how much sleep your baby gave you the night before? Still, it's these moments of reflection from a distance talking with other moms about our all day jobs while away from that job, that remind us how much we love the job. The opportunity to eat food while it is hot, savor sinfully delicious desserts, and handle fragile pretty things in stores we only dare gaze longingly at as we quickly walk our little monsters by is pretty nice too.
