30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 6
To piggy back on my post last night about the election night festivities I'll be attending, I'll say that today I am thankful that I can vote on election day. I can voice my opinion, vote my conscience, and not suffer anything for doing so. As a woman, I have the same power in my vote as my husband. My vote can make as big a difference as his. There are still so many places where this is not the case, or where women live in fear of using their voice.
I'm proud to live in this country, to be blessed to be an American, and I am thankful that I get the opportunity to contribute to the direction it is headed with my vote.
Now, there is still time to vote! Make your voice heard! Mark your ballot, mail it in (or go to the polls if you still get that option!), and do it NOW!
