30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 20

I am thankful for family nights. They are hard to make some nights. A lot of nights we don't want to do anything all that special. And more often than not attitudes and schedules or routines off slightly can totally steal away our family night. There was definitely the chance of that today. But we were able to pull it together (or rather, I was able to get my hissy fit about things not being just so under control, thank Jesus!).

Our family night tonight consisted of a trip to Home Depot to look at Christmas lights (tomorrow's project) and get some yard maintenance materials to do one last thorough care of it before winter is officially here (also on tomorrow's to do list). If there is any store the boys love going to it is Home Depot. Especially at Christmas time. They always have every yard ornament you can imagine on display to purchase (this year's big one they spotted was Darth Vader). We never buy them, but oh the fun we have looking at them!

We got our things and then we really spoiled them and took them to Cold Stone across the parking lot for ice cream. I wish I had taken pictures because they were being so sweet. They were all feeding each other their ice cream (even William) because "I just wanted Brother to try mine!". It was adorable.

It didn't seem like much to do, but the boys loved it, we loved our time with them and got some things off our to do list in the process, and we all enjoyed the time spent together.
