30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 2
Who is thankful for Monday's? This girl. I know, we're supposed to crave the weekend and the relaxation or leisurely activity that it brings - but I don't. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the weekend - I do! There is something about the routine of a Monday, the start of a fresh week, that makes me smile. It might be off of a busy weekend that makes for a little more groaning when it is time to roll back the covers and greet the morning, but I still embrace it. The struggle to rise just means it is an extra coffee day! And I love coffee so an excuse to have more is always good right?
Today's Monday was spent homeschooling my boys (which I am loving), putting my house back in order from the weekend and lining up the rest of the coming week. When the sun was still shining after William woke up from his nap earlier than usual, we seized the opportunity for some family exercise. The boys got on their bikes and with William strapped in the stroller I ran. Or maybe it was more like ran, stop at the park for a potty break, run, cross a street at a snail's pace holding up neighborhood traffic, run some more, tell one of the boys that his muscles work just fine and he can keep riding. I guess that's why it's never been about my "time" when I run.
After a late night run to the store and a late dinner at home with daddy it was time to read books and go to bed. I got to work being creative with some apple art by the boys turned to autumn decorations and watch the Voice with my hubby. That is relaxing.
Tomorrow is Tuesday. There are lots of reasons to love Tuesday. But today, I am thankful for Monday.
