30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 5
We love our neighborhood! There are 9 kiddos in this picture, from 3
families whose houses form a little triangle on our loop. Since late
2012 we have watched our kiddos grow side by side, endured pregnancies
in summer together, had new babies, celebrated numerous holidays and
come up with festivities of our own to celebrate and all sorts of fun
in between. It has been so wonderful.
This weekend will be our last weekend with one of these families for
what will likely prove to be a very long time. As they journey to a
far off country in service to our country we will be sorely missing
their presence on our little loop.
I'm thankful for the friendship they have provided the last few years
and the wonderful times we have had together. It will seem so strange
to look across the street and not see signs of their family in the
house that was there's. I'll miss the playdates over treats and coffee
we would have on cold mornings and the late afternoon otter pop round
up in the front yard on hot days with the kids. I'm just glad we get
to make a few more memories with them over the weekend before they
leave...
