30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 9

We said goodbye to our dear friends as they moved to the other side of
the world today. They stayed in our home all weekend as they were out
of theirs on Friday. What a pleasure it was to wake up to their sweet
little girl saying, "Good morning! I'm hungry!" each day with a huge
smile on her face and her little brother calling "Tassie Mama?" when
he was needing me for something. We loved having the chance to stay up
late and chat with our friends after all the kiddos were in bed. It
was a very relaxing and cozy weekend.

Today I am thankful for a home I could share with dear ones when their
"home" was being shipped overseas. I'm thankful for the warmth it
provides and the comfort it brings when there are people who love one
another gathered under its roof. I'm thankful for the many
relationships that have blossomed within its four walls - this one In
particular that will continue to grow even though an ocean is between
us now, until they are home again.
