30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 12

We spent time with some good friends this morning having a playdate -
boys all playing and rough-housing together while the pregnant mommies
attempted to drink tea and have a conversation. It was a welcome break
from our schedule of midwife appointments and grocery trips for my
diet needs.
I'm thankful for these playdates. Thankful for friends who know how to
live in the trenches of parenting and thrive, and the laughter that
comes with sharing memories of early motherhood and our children's
most recent anecdotes. It's these little sessions that remind me that
I'm normal, that everyone has highs and lows to this parenting thing
and that we all need a heavy dose of Jesus to start our days.
