30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 21

I woke up feeling pretty crummy this morning. My throat was scratchy,
I had that bit of stuffiness that makes you think you're getting sick
(which wouldn't be surprising since the boys have both been sick the
last 2 weeks). I decided rather than rush around and get presentable,
it would be a pajama day. In fact, here at 4:15 the boys and I are
still in our pajamas. I've hardly rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. I
should be thinking about making dinner, but I think the answer is for
Nathan to pick up a pizza on his way home and me to fend for myself
with some squash and chicken (doesn't THAT sound amazing?).

The day wasn't wholly unproductive. The boys and I did a bit of school
today. Funny thing it (or not so funny), it is the first day of
"school" we've done since the first day of school. So, naturally, we
tackled the letter "B" and did some fun crafts projects. We made paper
bag puppets, did some painting and had fun learning.

The rest of the day was spent watching Netflix, snacking and napping. I am thankful for these occasional days of rest that come along. I know I'll regret somewhat tonight not accomplishing more of the mountain of things that could be done, but I know the rest has done my mind and body good today. I'm thankful that I can have days home to just sit and snuggle with my boys watching "Fireman Sam" and doing projects and puzzles with them.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will have lots of opportunity to address the mountainous to-do list then. For now, I will continue to enjoy this day of rest and be thankful for it.
