30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 17
Today I am thankful for the general safety my family enjoys because of
where we live. We don't face famine or a war-torn environment. We can
leave our home with little fear of what others might do to us. While
natural disasters occur everywhere, we live in a country
well-equipped to face them when they come. Even with political drama
and so many cultural and religious differences between people, we live
in a place that is for the most part peaceful.
Accidents happen, bad things can and do happen to good people and we
don't ever know what tomorrow brings. For now, I can be thankful
because my family currently lives in a state of peace and safety.
