30 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 14

Motherhood. The best job and the hardest job ever. I have some pretty
adorable boys, but even they know how to act 2 & 3 with the best of
them. Daily I am caused to reflect on my behavior in response to
theirs and unfortunately I find I am acting 2 & 3 right along with
them. Who's the mommy here?

Today I am thankful for my boys. They teach me so much about how to
play, how to laugh, how to say I'm sorry, and how to forgive - not
because they are geniuses and have these skills all mastered, but
because through their behavior I am reminded that I need to do these
things myself. In doing them myself, I am driven to the truth that I
am unable to do any of it truly by myself, and succeed. I am driven to
my need for more of Jesus. More of Jesus in my words & more of Jesus
in my actions, for it is only by His grace that I can begin to handle
this mothering job well. It is only by His grace and because of His
great love for me, that my kids can have the message of this love and
grace on display to them through their mom.

Yea, I am thankful for these rambunctious, adorable, energetic, sweet,
little boys who made me a mom.
